What others say about my work....
"Chris Holmes has helped me tremendously to gain flexibility in my back and spine after having had years of trouble, I am now able to bend and move more flexibly than I thought possible. At 56 years of age I am able to do the kind of movements that I couldn't do in my 30's and 40's. The change has been gentle, without stress or pain." -- Debbie L. |
What we do |
|
The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic education system using repeated gentle movements to bring more awareness, ability, comfort and grace to our activities. Move...Learn! group classes are mostly verbally guided floor work/play, for any level of fitness. Comfortable, loose clothes are best. (We have mats, but feel free to bring your own!) Classes are $12...two for one when you bring bring a friend to try out a class. Private lessons comprise a mixture of verbally and gentle hands-on guided movement, usually using a specially designed table. Private lessons are $65 for about an hour. The initial two lessons are only $95 when paid upfront. |

"Chris has a professional manner and listened carefully to what I needed for my health. The Feldenkrais work with Chris helped me orient myself in the world - to stay in my body as I transitioned through different daily activities, especially when conditions around me were tumultuous or upsetting -- sometimes just through simple breathing techniques that Chris told me, other times by consciously bringing my awareness to my body in the simple yet profound ways that he shared with me...Chris is extremely gentle, which is another plus." aspect of the work, I experienced a welcome release of neck and shoulder tension. The Feldenkrais work is powerful and (provides) the opportunity to change patterns in your body... and also to expand your repertoire of physical movement and ways of being. I highly recommend Chris Holmes for this modality." -- Anna L. |
